Creator Fund is a pre-seed investment firm based in the UK, established to support PhD and scientific founders across Europe. Led by founder and CEO Jamie Macfarlane, who previously ran a political campaign with WPP, and COO Alexandra Ntemourtsidou, the fund operates with a lean leadership and relies on a distributed network of student investors. This network allows Creator Fund to embed within 30 universities across 10 countries and identify scientific talent early in its development stages. The unique model of utilizing student investors as preliminary scouts for promising startups is what sets Creator Fund apart in the venture capital landscape.

The fund focuses on sectors such as AI, robotics, advanced materials, biotech, semiconductors, and dual-use university science. Creator Fund's check sizes are initially undisclosed but are positioned to be the first institutional investment ahead of $5 million to $20 million seed and Series A rounds led by larger funds. The firm has a total of $56 million under management in its current fund, with major LPs including KfW Capital and Denmark's EIFO among 71 LPs from 21 countries supporting the initiative.

Creator Fund has a history of backing deep tech companies and celebrated a significant exit with the sale of Loci to Epic Games, which itself returned the fund's initial capital. Notable investments include Ovo Labs, working on reversing the aging of human eggs; Latent Worlds, focused on data capture for extreme environments; and Anzen Industries, developing enzyme-based new materials. Since its inception in 2019, the firm has backed 62 companies and continues to play a critical role in nurturing Europe's scientific talent pipeline by focusing on early-stage scientific ventures.
