Brainstorm Ventures is a seed and early-stage venture capital firm that was cofounded in 1999 by Eduardo Rallo and Keith Cox. We are headquartered in San Francisco and also maintain a presence in Mexico City.
Our investment focus is on startups developing innovative technologies or applying existing technologies to new business models and markets. We have historically invested mostly in consumer companies; however, we also invest in enterprise companies, particularly those in industries familiar to us. Brainstorm Ventures invested early on in Zappos, OpenTable, Me.com, and KIO Networks.
We have invested in, founded and scaled many successful technology and brick and mortar companies. As such, we have deep expertise and empathy for the entrepreneur. We work hard to add value as investors by introducing our portfolio companies to business development opportunities, top talent, sources of capital, and other resources as needed. We value fairness and transparency with our portfolio companies and limited partners alike.
