The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to physical devices, that are embedded with sensors, processing ability, software, and other technologies, and that connect and exchange data with other devices and systems over the Internet or other communications networks. IoT has a broad range of application, including smart home and security solutions, industrials (Industrial IoT, or IIoT), such as manufacturing, retail and warehousing (e.g., RFID tags), utilities, transportation, agriculture, as well in healthcare (Internet of Medical Things, or IoMT).
